Let's Talk About Synergistic Effects

You put a metal spoon in the microwave, and you don’t turn it on.

Nothing happens.

You take the spoon out, and you turn on the microwave.

No sparks.

You put the metal spoon back in the microwave, and you turn it on.

Sparks—and not the good kind.

This is an example of a synergistic effect.

Obviously don’t try this example at home (or anywhere). Microwaves are best used unplugged for storage.

“Synergistic effects are the combined effects of at least two substances making an impact that is more significant than both of them could have shown by themselves.” Source

Baking soda and vinegar is a common example of a synergistic effect.

As another example, researchers in multiple countries discovered a synergistic relationship between Electromagnetic Radiation and fungi, including mold. Electromagnetic Radiation accelerated the growth and toxicity of mold. Source

As stated by Dr. Thomas Rau, Medical Director of the Paracelsus Clinic in Switzerland, “Toxic mold in homes grows much faster under the load of high electromagnetic loads. They grow much faster in a disturbed milieu.

Mercury / heavy metals can also exacerbate the growth.” Source

In my case, the more heavy metals, mold, and pollutants my body accumulated over the years, the more sensitive I became to Electromagnetic Radiation (including sunlight, artificial light, and digital screens).

This amplified my Sensory Processing “Disorder” and worsened my symptoms of Neurodivergence.

Skin rashes, hair loss, recurrent staph infections, and sensations of skin burning increased.

Heart palpitations, anxiety, insomnia, hip pain, tinnitus, and neurovascular issues—including dizziness and fainting—also increased.

I began to feel as a human version of the metal spoon in the microwave.

It wasn’t until I changed my environment to minimize exposures to Wireless Radiation that my Neurodivergence, tinnitus, and Sensory Processing challenges became manageable.

Heart palpitations, skin rashes, circulation issues, hip pain, recurrent staph infections, dizziness, fainting, anxiety, night terrors, and insomnia disappeared on their own.

My sensitivity to mold improved. My sensitivity to light (including sunlight) also improved.

Minimizing my exposures to common environmental toxicities for years beforehand was helpful, but only marginally helpful until I realized the devastating toll Wireless Radiation was taking on my nervous system and overall health.

Wireless Radiation was creating a synergistic effect with the weakened interior of my body.

When I see a child melt down upon entering a store or at school, I understand.

Yes, the lights, sounds, and smells play a role in Sensory Processing challenges.

So, too, does the onslaught of non-native Electromagnetic Radiation—and its synergistic effects with the pollutants inside our bodies.

Are we becoming the societal version of polluted human spoons in the microwave?

As spoken by Dr. Olle Johansson, a world-leading researcher of Electromagnetic Radiation health effects, in 2017:

“If I ask you how much more Radiation does penetrate your body today compared to 10 years ago, is it twice as much?

Three times as much?

No, it's a quintillion times more. That's a "one" with 18 zeros.”

We have created the modern-day equivalent of an electro-smog coal mine.

Most public buildings and schools in the U.S.A. have become incredibly toxic with multiple Wi-Fi routers, Smart Meters, radiating Smart devices, mold, artificial fragrances, chemical products, and are typically within close proximity of an alarming number of cell towers and antennas.

When I look back at my challenges to learn and work in traditional buildings, I see the ways environmental toxicity was limiting my abilities to focus, function, heal from chronic illness, and retain information.

My story is sadly common—but not commonly discussed.

My heart aches when I see children and/or adults learning on Wireless radiating devices while being forced to stifle the energetic imbalances in their bodies.

The disciplinary emphasis is placed on the individual’s behavior without regard for the toxicity of the surrounding environment.

There are schools, teachers, clinicians, and therapists who will instruct Neurodivergent and/or behaviorally-challenged individuals to place their hands on the table or sit on their hands in an attempt to minimize distracting behavior or “fidgeting.”

I do believe these teachers and practitioners are acting in good faith to minimize “undesirable” behavior, but they are missing a major root cause of the energetic imbalances in the body.

Many therapeutic and standard learning services are provided using Wireless devices—in the presence of multiple other Wireless devices.

These same learning devices emit VERY high levels of Wireless Radiation.

There are better ways to function in these facilities, starting with: hard-wired devices through Ethernet; fragrance-free policies; encouraging attendees to place unused devices in Airplane Mode or OFF; increasing time in nature; using non-toxic cleaning products; assessing indoor air quality; and alternating digital learning with traditional paper/pencil/game/experimental hands-on learning methods.

When hard-wiring devices to Ethernet is NOT an option, the digital content can be pre-downloaded with no one in the vicinity and utilized for learning offline with the device in Airplane Mode.

We can make societal improvements by raising awareness of these important issues and doing our parts to improve the quality of our surrounding environments.

“Little by little, a little becomes a lot.” — Tanzanian proverb

There are ways to use technology safely, and it can remain an asset for societal advancements.

There are ways to purify the air and surfaces without spraying neurotoxic artificial fragrance chemical products.

Just as smoking is no longer the norm on airplanes or inside buildings, it is my hope eventually Wireless Radiation and artificial fragrances will no longer be the norm for learning, medical, workplace, retail, and therapeutic environments.
